Dear sub-Branch members,
James Griffin MP, NSW secretary for Veterans Affairs invites you to attend any number of evens listed below and attached during Veterans Health Week held at Harbord Diggers Club, Freshwater
The event on Thursday 31st Oct is for all sub-Branch service members, current members of the ADF, vets and partners and carers only. This day of seminars is FREE and based on health and wellbeing, starting at 1000hrs, all done by 1500hrs, which includes a fine lunch.
This day with the Diggers will be introduced by James Griffin MP, followed with moving talks by Sydney’s champion Invictus games athletes. A free scrumptious lunch prepared by the Diggers Club top chefs is designed as a social get-together.
The afternoon sessions will focus on simple to prepare good eating tips and some helpful hints on wellbeing presented by Rebound Health.
The last session will be a wrap-up led by Lt Col Jacquie Costello, who heads up the Army’s PTSD unit at Victoria Barracks. Numbers are limited, so PLEASE book via the website today. Click on the link below to see the full program.
This year, Veterans’ Health Week is being presented by Harbord Diggers Club in partnership with the Harbord RSL sub-Branch, Member for Manly James Griffin and supported by the Federal DVA. This year’s theme is mental wellness.

Support Services Expo and Invictus Games Panel: Free and open to all sub-Branch members – no need to book held in the main part of the Club.
Special Veterans Health Class at G-Fitness new gym at the Diggers Club at 11.30am

Walk for Wellbeing. Two guided tours of Freshwater’s ANZAC Precinct. The 10.30am tour and 1.30pm tour start at Jacka Park. This is a free event, bookings are essential at firstname.lastname@example.org

Comedy for a Cause, will raise funds for Homes for Heroes and presents an evening of comedians: Gary Eck, Brett Nichols, Christina Van Look and Joe Comino testing out their latest material see attached. Doors open 7pm. Show 8pm. Tickets are $30 each. To purchase visit harborddiggers.com.au
